# Estimators Checklist for Winning Fire Rated Glazing RFQs

[ Jeff Martineau ](https://blog.mandcomp.com/author/jeff-martineau)

![Tecfire Logo - Blue and Black](https://blog.mandcomp.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Tecfire%20Logo%20-%20Blue%20and%20Black.png?width=250&height=134&name=Tecfire%20Logo%20-%20Blue%20and%20Black.png)For more than forty years, TecFire has been at the forefront of supplying fire-rated safety glazing across Europe. From their factories in Spain and Dubai, they've produced innovative steel and aluminum framed doors, fixed walls, butt-glazed, and curtain wall systems.

They recently opened a facility in Indiana and are focused on replicating their success in North America.  Martineau & Co is fortunate partner with them on their quest.

### Architectural Support

At Martineau & Co, we're focused on educating the Northeast Architectural and Consulting Community on TecFire’s innovative product line, FireGuard Pro.

Architects are delighted to have an alternative in the marketplace.  At AIA Boston, we received news of major architectural and consulting firms adding FireGuard Pro to their specifications.  ![Fire Rated Safety Glass](https://blog.mandcomp.com/hs-fs/hubfs/FireGuard%20Pro.png?width=527&height=513&name=FireGuard%20Pro.png)

We're working closely with firms throughout the Northeast. We have a steady approach of Lunch and Learns, consulting calls, and slowly were earning our way into specifications.  If you need us to come to your firm, [please contact us](mailto:Jeff@mandcomp.com).  If you have a firm you’d like us to visit, please let us know.

### Glazier Request for Quote(RFQ)

Our second area of focus is to help Glaziers win more projects. FireGuard Pro has all you need to separate yourself from the competition.

- [Required North American Certifications](https://tecfire.com/us/testing-certification/)
- Competitive Price
- Reliable Lead Times
- Fast and Easy Installation

Working together, we can leverage our architectural relationships and superior product to help you win.

### Here's a simple [Fire Rated Glazing Estimators Checklist](https://blog.mandcomp.com/hubfs/Tecfire%20Rep%20Order%20Form%20Rev%201%20JSF.docx) to get the RFQ's rolling:

| **Project Information** | **Schedule** | **Documentation** |
| --- | --- | --- |
|  Project Name |  Quote Date Requirement |  Take-off with Dimensions and Quantities |
|   Location |  Materials Required Date |  Fire Rated Glass Specification |
|   |   |  Hardware Specification |
|   |   |    Drawings with elevation and floor plan |

These items appear simple because they are.  We find most of the RFQ's we receive are complete and we're able to provide a timely quote.

The most common mistake is forgetting to include the Specification. Both the Fire Rated Glass and Hardware Spec are important. We need to confirm the spec language and identify the requirements.

- Does the spec list alternates?
- Is a competitor the basis of design?

TecFire's expansion into North America, supported by Martineau & Co, marks a significant milestone in providing innovative fire-rated safety glazing solutions. With a focus on educating the architectural community and empowering glaziers, FireGuard Pro stands out as a competitive and reliable choice. We invite you to join us in this journey—reach out to schedule a consultation or request a visit to explore how FireGuard Pro can enhance your projects and specifications. Let's collaborate to achieve excellence in fire-rated glazing solutions.
