M&Co Insights:

This beautiful building designed by Gensler will feature Viracon’s VRE24-54 glass type on parts of the building, paired with VE24-2M on the podium portion of the building.

Viracon's glass will utilize a 3/8” low-iron outboard lite. The low-iron selection means that this glass will have excellent clarity and will not have any green tint that can sometimes be associated with clear glass. The 3/8” outboard lite has become a very popular trend with architects because of its incredible flatness. The 3/8” outboard lite is heavier and thicker, and therefore does not deflect as much as ¼” or 5/16” glass.

The VRE-54 high performance low-e coating will give those portions of the building a bright, vibrant appearance, while the VE-2M coating will give people inside and out an unobstructed, neutral colored view. Truly innovative architectural glazing options.

These units will also utilize Viracon’s Thermal Spacer (VTS) for increased total system u-value, a matte black spacer appearance, and exact spacer placement on the glass. This spacer also comes with a 12 year warranty instead of the standard 10 with traditional box spacers.
