M&Co Insights:
This new 13-story building, designed by Perkins and Will out of New York will feature an attractive modern exterior that will be highlighted by Viracon’s high-performance Low-E coating. Viracon's innovative VNE-63 coating is utilized on both Clear (VNE1-63) and CrystalGray (VNE19-63) glass. The VNE1-63 and VNE19-63 provides contrast on the building, with the clear glass being neutral and transparent, and the CrystalGray substrate giving the glass a light gray, transparent appearance.
The proposed floor to ceiling windows on this projects provides the occupants plenty of natural light on the inside of the building, but will give those occupants incredible views of the University City area as well.
Every piece of glass on this building will feature the Viracon VTS spacer, giving the units exceptional performance and a 12-year warranty instead of the typical 10-year warranty for an insulated unit.
This building will include retail space at the ground floor, and the upper floors will contain lab and office space targeting life sciences. This continues the trend that we’re seeing in the Philadelphia area of life science projects being the best bet of projects to get built- this is a huge industry in the area, and they continue to build great looking projects.
